Can cream chargers explode?

Cream chargers could explode if they are under excessive temperature or pressure. The conditions under which they can be safely stored are typically listed on the package.  Opening whip cream chargers without the proper equipment (a whipped cream dispenser) could result in an explosion or cold temperature injury (the gas is very cold when it first comes out of the cream charger).
